The Man Who Gave Up The Throne For The Woman He Loved Necklace

$37.00

On that night of 11 December 1936, Edward VIII famously told his subjects in a speech that was broadcast to the British nation and Empire -

"I have found it impossible to carry the heavy burden of responsibility and to discharge my duties as king as I would wish to do without the help and support of the woman I love."

And so he abdicated the throne to marry the love of his life, Wallis Warfield/Simpson. Together they became the iconic (and infamous) Duke and Duchess of Windsor and one of the greatest love stories.

30mm x 40mm pendant of Edward and a 13mm x 18mm pendant of Wallis carrying Slipper, the little terrier from Edward.

The chain measures 27 inches.
